Determine what care, time, mileage, and location information is collected during shiftsBusiness admins have the ability to configure what information is collected during shifts.
To do so, go to Settings and then Care Notes.
Note: These settings affect all care notes, so change these settings sparingly. For example, if you used to collect the client's mood, and then you turn it off, past care notes will no longer show the client's mood. The data is preserved, but not displayed.
Travel Time (Optional when enabled)
Clients see this statement alongside shift times when caregivers clock-out of shifts to confirm that the recorded hours are correct and the performed care is satisfactory.
Caregiver Time Accuracy
Caregivers see this statement, when clocking-out of their shifts, to certify that they accurately recorded all of their hours of work and mileage, reviewed the plan of care, and accurately documented care during this shift.
Abnormal Vital Message
Caregivers see this statement when recording a vital that is abnormally high or low. When this statement is turned on, abnormal vital recordings will automatically get flagged.
Clock In/Out Minute Rounding
Enter a value for minutes to be rounded when clocking in and out. Enter 0 for no rounding, 5 to round to nearest 5 minute, and 15 to round to the nearest 15 minute on clock-in and clock-out.
Collect Client's Mood
This is a list of different moods that the caregiver can select from upon clock out. They will be required to select one and have the ability to select multiple.
Collect Client's Pain Level
Pain level is collected with a slider from 0 to 10.
Collect Client's Continence
Caregivers need to choose continent or incontinent prior to continuing.
Collect Unpaid Breaks
Enable caregivers to clock out and back in during their breaks.
Collect Travel Time
Collect the time between shifts.
Collect Client Mileage
Client mileage is for billable miles, and get used in invoices. When specified, caregivers are required to explain what the miles were for.
Collect Caregiver Mileage
Caregiver mileage is for reimbursable miles, and get used in reimbursement totals. When specified, caregivers are required to explain what the miles were for. If you are collecting travel time and want caregivers to record the miles driven during travel time, have them use this field.
Collect Client's Signature
This is a signature pad where clients can sign with a finger directly on the screen. Caregivers can select "Unable to sign" if the client is not able to sign.
Collect Care Summary
This is a free-form text input. As this can be used for just about anything, it's best to include how the care summary should be used during caregiver training.
Collect Additional Care Tasks
Allow caregivers to record additional care tasks that are not specified in the plan of care.
Require a COVID-19 risk assessment prior to clocking in.
Collect Caregiver's GPS Location
If the shift has a set location, and that location has a verified geo-fence, then the caregiver's GPS location will be collected. If a caregiver is outside of the geo-fence, they will need to provide an explanation.
Care Note Labels
Create and edit labels for Care Notes. You can determine what permission level is required in order to use certain labels.
