Managing Clients with Looper

What Looper can do for client management

Looper can help you manage clients by answering questions, finding information, and assisting with client-related tasks. You can use Looper from the Assistant or Command Center, depending on the task.

  • The Assistant is the side panel within Careswitch. It uses a focused set of tools for quick lookups and edits while keeping you in control.

  • Command Center is a more powerful agent that can handle multi-step tasks, such as creating, updating, and archiving clients, managing connections, updating matching criteria, and managing guest access.

Looper can help you work more efficiently, but it does not replace your judgment. Review Looper's recommendations before making decisions about a client.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the appropriate permissions for the client information or actions you want to access.

Looper follows your existing Careswitch permissions. If you don't have permission to view or manage something, Looper won't give you access to it.

Ask Looper About a Client

You can ask Looper questions about clients and their care needs.

For example:

  • "Which clients need dementia care?"

  • "What are this client's caregiver preferences?"

  • "Which clients have a specific care requirement?"

  • "What information is listed in this client's care plan?"

Looper can use the information available in Careswitch to help answer your questions.

Use Looper to Find Client Information

Instead of searching through multiple areas of Careswitch, you can ask Looper to help you find information.

For example, you can ask:

"Show me clients who need help with mobility."

or

"Which clients have a caregiver preference for someone who speaks Spanish?"

Looper can help identify relevant clients based on the information in their profiles and matching criteria.

Use Looper to Manage Client Information

Looper can also assist with certain client-management tasks through the Command Center.

Command Center can help with multi-step tasks, allowing you to review the changes before they are made.

Read-Only Mode

Before making changes, you can use Read-Only Mode to review what Looper would do without making changes to your Careswitch data.

This is useful when you want to confirm that Looper understood your request before allowing it to make changes.

Important: When Looper makes changes through Command Center, those changes are live. Review the proposed actions carefully before confirming.

Some actions may be automatically confirmed once you approve them, and there is no undo option. If you make a change by mistake, you may need to correct it manually.

Use Looper to Help With Client Matching

Looper can help identify caregivers who may be a good match for a client or shift.

When making recommendations, Looper can consider information such as:

  • Caregiver availability

  • Distance from the client

  • Skills and qualifications

  • Experience

  • Language

  • Driving and equipment information

  • Caregiver preferences

  • Client care needs

  • Household details

  • Client caregiver preferences

  • Connection to the client

  • Profile completeness

These factors are soft signals that influence Looper's recommendations. They are not necessarily hard requirements or filters.

For example, you can ask:

"Which caregivers have dementia care experience?"

or

"Who's available Saturday morning near this client?"

Looper can use the available information to rank potential matches.

Keep in mind: Looper provides recommendations based on the information available in Careswitch. Use your professional judgment when deciding which caregiver is the best fit.

Looper and Client Management: What to Keep in Mind

Looper is designed to help you work with information already in Careswitch and can assist with certain tasks, but it is important to review its responses and recommendations.

Remember:

  • Looper is an AI assistant, not a person.

  • Looper's recommendations are based on available information and may not account for every factor you would consider.

  • Your existing permissions still apply when using Looper.

  • Use Read-Only Mode when you want to review a proposed action without making changes.

  • Review changes carefully before confirming them.

  • For important client or caregiver decisions, use your own professional judgment.
