Creating a Candidate Profile

Learn how to create a candidate profile for recruitment.

Create an employee profile

The basic steps for creating an employee profile are outlined below. For details about the information required at each step, see the sections below.

  1. Go to Recruitment.

  2. Click Create Candidate in the upper-right corner.

  3. Under Set Profile Status, select the employee's starting stage and status.

  4. Enter the employee's Personal Information. See more information on Personal Information below.

  5. Choose whether to send a login invitation.

  6. Optionally add a Share Update.

  7. Click Create Candidate or Create and Invite Candidate.

Enter personal information

Legal First Name and Legal Last Name are required.

We recommend entering the employee's Mobile Number and Email because either can be used to sign in to Careswitch.

You can also add:

  • Date of Birth

  • Address

  • Primary Language

  • Secondary Languages

  • Job Title

  • Recruitment Method

Send a login invitation

The Send an Email and SMS Invite option is selected by default.

When selected, an email and text message are sent when you save the employee profile.

You can also add a personal message in the Invite Message field.

Create a profile without sending an invitation

If you aren't ready to invite the employee:

  1. Uncheck Send an Email and SMS Invite.

  2. Complete the profile.

  3. Click Create Employee.

No email or SMS invitation will be sent.

You can invite the employee later.

Share an update

The Share Update section is optional and is separate from the login invitation.

Use Compose to add a note to the new employee's activity feed and select who should be notified.

Address verification

If you enter an address, Careswitch may ask you to confirm or correct the address before the profile is created.

Next Steps:

Now that the profile has been created you can track them through the recruitment and hiring process. For more information, see Managing Candidates in Recruiting.
