0:35 Login Review
When you first open the app, you'll need to enter your mobile phone number.
You will then receive a code on your mobile phone that you'll enter into the app to gain access.
Careswitch does not use usernames or passwords.
0:55 Editing Completed Shifts
The app will automatically open to the current week's schedule.
To view past weeks, use the back arrow at the bottom of the screen next to the date.
To edit information from a past shift, click on a completed shift.
You can review the care plan.
You can add any missing tasks to the task list by clicking the plus symbol beside that task.
If you forgot to get the care recipient's signature during the shift, you can add it later.
If the care recipient is unable to sign, you can indicate this in the app by toggling over to "unable to sign." Then click "save signatures."
You can also add or edit a care summary note in the space below the signatures.
1:48 Completing an In-Progress Shift
An in-progress shift is a shift that you have already clocked into but haven't clocked out of yet.
Click on the in-progress shift to view its details.
You can then review the care plan, view the assigned tasks, and complete the tasks.
As you go through the tasks, mark the status of each task.
Complete: The task was finished.
Declined: You did not perform the task.
Not Needed: The task was not necessary.
You can also add a note to a specific task by clicking where it says "provide notes" under the task status.
To save your note, click "record" next to the task name.
Keep in mind that care tasks and note requirements will vary for each care recipient.
When you are done with the tasks, click the back arrow to shifts, then clock out by clicking "clock out."
You will need to confirm that the listed clock-out time is correct.
Enter your travel time for the shift and the mileage.
If you are clocked in or out of a shift when you are not on-site, you will need to explain why you are at a different location.
For example, you may be at the pharmacy picking up a prescription for the client, at the grocery store shopping for them, or running another errand on their behalf.
Get the care recipient's signature.
If they are unable to sign, toggle over to "unable to sign."
Finally, click "clock out and submit time sheet."
3:58 Completing an Incomplete Shift
An incomplete shift is a shift where you didn't clock in or out.
To complete the shift information, click on the incomplete shift.
Enter the time you arrived by clicking "clock in."
Confirm the clock-in time is correct.
Explain why you're clocking in outside of the care recipient's location.
Click "confirm clock in."
Now that you are clocked in, the tasks for the shift will appear.
Record all completed tasks and add any notes.
When you are finished with the shift, click "done."
Confirm the clock-out time.
Enter your travel time and mileage.
Get the care recipient's signature.
If they cannot sign, toggle to "unable to sign."
Click "clock out."
5:26 Scheduled Shift Review
The app displays your schedule for the week.
To view the next week's schedule, click the forward arrow next to the date at the bottom of the screen.
To view more details about an upcoming shift, click on the shift.
You can review the care plan.
You can also get directions to the shift location.
5:57 Job Board & Open Shifts
The Job Board is where you can view and claim open shifts.
The Job Board tab is the second icon from the left along the bottom of the screen.
Open shifts are shifts that are available for caregivers to claim.
Each open shift listing will show the time of the shift, the care recipient's name, their location, the length of the shift, and the pay rate, if available.
To learn more about a particular shift, click on it to see a summary of the care plan and brief information about the care recipient.
If you are not interested in an open shift, you can decline it by clicking "not interested."
This will remove the shift from your Job Board so you don't see it anymore.
Other caregivers will still be able to view and claim the shift.
If you want to work a shift, claim it by clicking "claim shift."
This will notify your office that you have claimed the shift.
The shift will then be added to your schedule on the Shifts tab.
The shift will also be removed from all other caregivers' Job Boards.
7:38 Chat
The Chat tab is the third icon from the left on the bottom of the app screen.
Broadcasts are read-only messages sent by your administration to all caregivers.
Individual or group chats are group chats that allow you to communicate with other caregivers and staff.
You can also add attachments or photos to chats.
Chat is HIPAA compliant.
8:03 Notification Inbox
